From time immemorial, the entity known as and called Bori had existed with two(2) distinct small villages namely Bori village (Ka-bori) and Nortem.
Ka-bori is older than Nortem for it was the very first enclave of those who deforested the area. They had the following farm lands that were not habited. They are Banake, Normeh, Dorgbam, others are Goora, Norka and Demebana. Bori is bounded on the North by land of Yeghe and Kaani, on the North-west by land of Yeghe, on the south by of Uegwere Boue, on the West by land of Yeghe, on the North-east by land of Wiiyaakara and on the East by land of Zaakpon.
Over time, as a result of economic growth, the farmlands or areas such as Banake, Normeh, Dorgbam and Goora had experienced rapid infrastructural transformation bringing about inhabitation and subsequent occupation by individuals from all works of life. Only recently, the adjoining lands on the fringes of the river between Kor and Bori towards the Wiiyaakara witnessed another enormous growth that brought the Zongo Kemaa on the North-eastern fringes of that river.
It is worthy to note that during the pre colonial era there were no enclaves such as Looyoo, Kem-zoo and Mgbubee. They are migrants from Yeghe that occupied those areas in Bori and gave such names. They are not aborigines.
The establishment of the Rivers State Polytechnic vis-a-vis Kenule Beesor Polytechnic had made the neighboring communities around Bori such as Kaani, Yeghe, Zaakpon, Uegwere Boue and even Wiiyaakara observed the growth pole theory.
Today, all these neighboring communications are laying claims to the ownership of the entity “Bori” whereas the aborigines are there quietly.Following the 21st century economic growth, almost all the adjourning farmlands of Banake, Normeh, Dorgbam, Goora had been inhabited including the newly created areas except the Norka and Demebana that has not been inhabited.
Considering the earlier political structure of the former Bori Local Government Area which metamorphosed into Khana Local Government Area that had four(4) districts namely Nyokhana, Kenkhana, Babbe and Bori urban, administratively there is need for a “Bua Bori” but not to be headed by a Yeghe man for Yeghe is in Gokana Local Government Area and already had it’s “Bua” which is Bua Yeghe. Bori is not a part of yeghe and had never been a part of the Bua Yeghe concept.
